Parties, Microsoft says that Windows 8 will remain "friendly" hardware because the operating system it can still be used with the same hardware specifications to run Windows 7.
Although Windows 8 will not start before 2012, but Microsoft aims that OS is still using the same hardware specs for Windows 7
"In our view, Windows 8, we will continue to be an important trend that we have started from the Windows 7, whether it is to commercialize hardware specs or anything else," said Tami Reller, corporate vice president for Windows, while of speaking at the Microsoft Worldwide partner Conference.
By Reller added that Windows 8 will be capable of running on different machines, because it has the same hardware specifications.
"In addition, we also build intelligence into Windows 8, so that it at the hardware used by the user can customize. So if you upgrade your PC, Windows 8 will be adapted to the hardware," Reller said.
While the required specifications for Windows 7 is:
- 1 gigahertz (GHz) or 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit processors (x64)
- 1 Gigabit (GB) of RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
- The DirectX 9 graphics with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver again
